David Arkadir, Israel



David Arkadir, MD PhD, was trained as a neurologist at Hadassah Medical Center (Jerusalem, Israel), and as a Movement Disorders specialist at Columbia University Medical Center (NY, USA), under the supervision of Dr. Stanley Fahn. His Ph.D. research on information flow in the basal ganglia, a process which is of paramount importance to the understanding of Parkinson's disease, was conducted under the supervision of Prof Hagai Bergman from the Hebrew University at Jerusalem. He is currently studying the prodromal symptoms of Parkinson's disease in GBA carrier individuals and Gaucher patients in collaboration with the Gaucher center at Shari Zedek Medical Center.
